Max Delay Time Owl Pedal

Hi All,

I have a max/msp patch I want to adapt for the OWL pedal. It saves audio into a buffer and is accessed rhythmically at random. Think Johnny Greenwood on Jools Holland. I want to try and do this in gen~

What is the max length of audio the OWL can save?

Is it possible to access the audio stored in memory at random in gen~?

Would I be better off learning pd?

Hi mda,

I can’t comment on Pd or gen~, but I can tell you that the max buffer size on the OWL Pedal is 1 Megabyte, or 262144 samples, or 5.46 seconds at 48kHz sampling rate.

Did you have a look at our tutorials? There’s some stuff there about delays using gen~ which might be useful!
