Midi with genius not working?

Hi. I just picked up the Genius module this week. It’s obviously quite a powerful little device, but im running into an issue. I set up a midi instrument patch on it, and have only been able to get midi to work with the computer. I have a midi device in the the box with it that is meant to control it (the Xor electronics Nerdseq with its multi-IO expander XOR Electronics Multi-IO Expander Black - Eurorack Module on ModularGrid). I tried each connection type (trs-A and both usb types) and nothing worked. I also tried connecting an arturia keystep with using the midi adapter the genius came with and still nothing. For some reason, the computer works, but nothing else.

Probably too late to reply, I just checked TRS MIDI input of Genius (firmware v22.4.0) and found it works properly with the DIN-TRS MIDI adaptor coming with the box. It seems european company like ARTURIA uses TRS-B, so maybe it helps if you look at MIDI cable ?
