I´m an absolute beginner, however I bought the Owl pedal,
And I am stuck at stage 1, when I try to load patches from Rebeltech.org I get the message " Failed To Connect To OWL"
Anyone who can help an eager beginner with this?
Is there anything about this pedal not being compatible with newer software?

Are you having problems with an old OWL pedal or is that for the new MK2? Either way, both should work the same as other devices.
The error probably means that browser can’t see the device, does your OS show a new connected device when you plug the pedal into your PC? Try using Chrome if you were connecting from another browser.
