USB MIDI connection details

Hi there,
Just wanted to check what the plan is for the USB MIDI extension - I assume it’s a standard USB A socket / USB-MIDI device ? Got a couple of ideas for things where I need some button inputs on top of the built-in knobs and would be nice to order some extra hardware now in time for the owl’s arrival so I can get cracking immediately…
Thinking about something along the lines of this:

Hello!

The OWL will have a USB micro A/B socket. At the moment we have implemented USB MIDI device mode on the pedal, which we are using to communicate with the device from a host computer.
It is also possible to implement host mode (using the USB OTG capabilities of the micro controller) so that class-compliant controllers can be plugged in directly. I can’t promise that we will get this done in time for shipping, though!

Ah, I see, thanks for the info.

The expression pedal input doubles as a dual ADC, and can even be used as a serial port, so there are lots of extension possibilities.

what about expresion pedal, pinout, I put a LDR, expresion pedal and doesnt work.

Hmm - might be that the patch needs to be written to take advantage of the expression pedal and none of them are yet?

what the expresion input need? a only resistor input?, like resistor expresion pedal?

Is is possible to read/write the potentiometer/button changes from/into a DAW?
