Web MIDI

We’ve published Web MIDI functionality in the patch library.
What this means is that you can load a patch straight to a connected OWL, without using any other software than your browser.

You also get the current OWL status, CPU and memory use.

If you go to view a patch in the library, you will now find three tabs: INFO, AUDIO and MIDI.

INFO gives you the patch details.

AUDIO lets you run the patch in the browser, tweak the parameters, and hear the results.

MIDI lets you send the SysEx directly to a connected OWL.

We’ve also made improvements to the online compiler. There’s now only one Compile link, which builds both the JS and SysEx, and the error messages have less noise, more information.

Hope you enjoy! As usual, if you find any problems let us know.

Oh I forgot to say: this only works out of the box on Chrome!

For other browsers you will need to install the Jazz plugin [1].

Also note that we still have unresolved website problems with Safari. If you can, please use Chrome!
